Object(s) photographed: Worn surface of a mooring bollard - dyes, rust, grooves etc.
My first sense of this one is almost quasi-religious in nature . . . Could be some kind of metaphysical imprinting from the sins of a thousand sailors.
Oakland-Alameda estuary.
